In just eighteen months Laura McGreevey catapulted from church choir singer to Six-Category Nominee on the 2008 Grammy ballot for her first CD titled simply EP - Laura McGreevey. Critical acclaim for her music followed, including four stars by Northwest Music Now referencing EP as “A listen worthy debut by a breakout singer/songwriter.” Laura’s two new singles, And So She Would Sing and When It’s Just Me are showing remarkable viral power from Europe to Oregon to the online music platform CD Baby. Laura’s MySpace fan base continues to build with the popularity of each new release and her website www.lauramcgreevey.com is one of Vancouver’s most trafficked music sites. Laura McGreevey and her band headlined recently with an SRO crowd at the Northwest’s iconic 2009 Track10 event in Washington State. Laura also performs regularly for important non profit causes including the Rock Rwanda multi-artist CD event, several faith-based organizations, and an upcoming fundraiser for Just Yell Fire, the young women’s empowerment organization.
